Thailand Science Park (TSP, www.sciencepark.or.th) began its operation in 2002 as a fully integrated hub for R&D in Science and Technology. It was established with a total investment budget of about USD 175 millions under the management of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) , Ministry of Science and Technology. Its missions are to promote innovation and R&D activities in the private sector and to develop a critical mass of R&D human resource for Thailand

Located in Klong Luang , Pathumthani province , in the northern outskirt of Bangkok , TSP houses NSTDA's headquarters and four national research centers with state-of-the-art equipments on its premise. These national research centers are

National Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology ( BIOTEC)

National Metal and Materials Technology Center(MTEC)

National Electronics and Computer Technology Center(NECTEC)

National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC)

In addition, TSP is adjacent to Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thammasat University (TU) and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT). The combination of these makes TSP an ideal location for R&D activities, whereby well over 1,000 researchers and a large pool of human resource are within reach of its tenants.

Privileges and incentives from the Board in Investment and the Revenue Department are available for tenants. Tenants of TSP also gain access to facilities and amenities such as a convention center with more than 2,000 sq.m. exhibition areas, 350 seat auditorium, meeting rooms with teleconferencing and video conferencing capabilities , research database in actual and virtual libraries and high speed telecommunication network. Small and start up companies conducting research works can rent space in the incubation building at a subsidized rate . Larger companies can choose between renting existing space and leasing a plot of leasehold land to construct their own research facilities. Technical and technological , financial , human resource , and business and juristic supports are provided to tenants to make the total cost of research works affordable to businesses located at Thailand Science Park.
