BEIJING, June 30 -- Zhongguancun Life Science Park is becoming an industrial chain in the research and development, production and clinical application of life science in Beijing, Xinhua learned on Monday.

Zhongguancun Life Science Park, established in August 18, 2000, has so far attracted about 60 research and development oriented high-tech enterprises to set up their research and production center inside the park to conduct the up-to-date studies of the life science.

It is learned that Zhongguancun Life Science Park, as a state-level innovation base for biotechnology and new high-tech medical industry, has completed a strategic integration of the biology resources in Beijing, creating a fully functional platform to start new business.

Meanwhile, top talents of life science research and development across China are also being attracted to the park to explore the latest development of the life science.

"It gathers Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Union Medical College as well as other research institutes. It's important for the development of life science," said Jin Guowei, vice manager of Zhongguancun Life Science Development Co. Ltd.

Zhongguancun Life Science Park was also listed by Beijing municipal government last year as one of the first six service outsourcing bases in Beijing.
