On September 28, Baidu signed agreement with www.uitv.com, announcing v.baidu.com, a free film downloading website, will be incorporated into www.uitv.com. As rewarding, Baidu will get cash 100 million yuan and 8.3% stock ownership of www.uitv.com.

www.uitv.com claimed to have the most powerful technical platform in Chinese Internet video area, while today¡¯s v.baidu.com is the biggest free film downloading website in China. Responding to the cooperation, Ren Xuyang, Baidu market vice president, said www.uitv.com would become more competitive due to the joining of v.baidu.com and Baidu would benefit from the ownership of the cooperator¡¯s stock.
