According to the report, 163.com boasts the fastest visiting speed among Chinese websites. Another 2 major portal websites, Sohu and Sina, are placed at No.4 and No.8, respectively.

After gathering data from over 100,000 testing stations throughout China, iResearch draws this conclusion.

iResearch believe the sluggish visiting speed will cause a website pushing its customers to its competitors.

According to an investigation carried out by Websense, a global service engaged on filtering and Web security solutions, over 70% surfers defy a webpage costing over 10 seconds and over 70% online shoppers would give up for a sluggish visiting speed.

The Chinese top 10 speedy websites supplied by iResearch are 163.com, qq.com, youku.com, sohu.com, taobao.com, eachnet.com, icbc.com, sina.com, ccb.com, 56.com.
