Recently, China Mobile begins inviting tenders for the 40,000 TD mobile phones, which will supply the service of CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting).

According to source, many terminal service providers take part in the bid, including Yulong Coolpad, ZTE, Samsung, Dopod and Lenovo. Yulong Coolpad has carried out cooperation with Innofidei, a CMMB chip provider, the first batch of CMMB/TD mobile phones will be batch-produced by the joint effort of two companies.

Director in Yulong said the company is fully capable to batch-produced CMMB/TD cellphone. At present, the company is waiting for the outcome of the bid. At the second round bid for China Mobile¡¯s TD terminal product, Yulong Coolpad gained 25% quota of high-end TD products.
